Ingredient
- 650 gms, Raw mangoes
- 6 cups + 3 cups, water
- ½ tsp, black pepper powder
- ¾ cup, mint leaves
- 2 tsp, rock salt
- 1 tbsp, roasted cumin powder
- 7 tbsp, sugar
- Wash the mangoes and cut them into halves. Discard the seeds.
- Boil the mangoes with 6 cups of water until they are soft. You may either pressure cook it or boil it in a heavy bottom utensil.
- After they are done, peel them and discard the peel. Do not discard the water.
- Using the back of a ladle or hand blender, mash them to make a smooth pulp.
- Add 3 cups of water and sugar/jaggery, mix till it gets dissolved.
- Take few tbsp of pulp and blend the mint leaves, cumin powder, black pepper, rock salt to make a smooth paste.
- Add this paste to the remaining pulp. Mix well.
- Add ice cubes or chill it in a fridge before serving.
- You may adjust the seasoning as preferred.
- Pour them in glasses and served chilled.
