- 
First of all lightly fry the chicken pieces with some salt, and keep it aside. 
- 
Then Heat the oil in a  pan, add the chopped green chilly , and chopped ginger , cinnamon, green cardamoms, cumin seeds and black cardamoms and saute for 30 sec. 
- 
Add the onions and saute till lightly browned. 
- 
Add the ginger paste and garlic paste and saute for two to three minutes till the raw aroma goes. 
- Add the tomato puree  & cook the mixture till tomato starts oozing oil.( around 5 min covering the lid & stirring in between )
- Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and saute for two minutes.
- Add the chicken pieces and saute for four to five minutes in high heat. 
- 
Now add the green cardamom powder, fried onions & coriander leaves , cover & cook the chicken till its properly cooked & you see oil in the corner. ( Reducing the flame to medium low, around 5-7 min ) 
- 
After 5- 7 min add  two cups water and mix well. Cook for ten minutes on medium heat. 
- 
Add the garam masala powder and mix well. Cook for another 1 min . Adjust the thickness as per your taste. 
- Garnish with coriander.
- Dhaba style is ready to serve, enjoy with rice, tandoori roti, paratha or anything of your choice.
