- Frozen Corn Kernels: 1 cup
- All purpose flour or maida: 2 tbsp
- Corn flour or corn starch: 2 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste: 1 tbsp
- Green Chili- 1 tbsp
- Fine chopped green onions: ¼ cup
- Coriander leaves- 2 tbsp
- Chopped bell peppers or capsicum: ¼ cup
- Lemon juice: 1 tbsp
- Chaat masala
- Salt
- Oil for frying
- If using frozen corns microwave corns for 30 seconds.
- If using corn cobs, boil them in water until they are tender. Drain the water and let them cool down. Take the corn kernels out with knife.
- Now in a mixing bowl take corn kernels, all purpose flour, corn flour, ginger garlic paste, Green Chili, salt, peppers, green onions, coriander leaves, lemon juice and 2 tbsp of water. Mix everything together and make a thick batter.
- Heat oil in karahi or wok at medium heat. Take small portion of corn mixture and drop in oil and deep fry them till they are nice golden brown and crispy.
- Take these pakoras/ fritters out on a paper towel to drain extra oil.
- Sprinkle chaat masala.
- Crispy corns are ready to serve. Serve them hot with a cup of tea.
Notes
1. Corn batter should not be too dry or too runny. It should be medium consistency so that pakoras can be made easily.
