Spinach Soup

Ingredients:
  • Spinach - 500 gms. (1 bunch
  • Tomato - 4 (medium sized)
  • Ginger - 1 inch long piece.
  • Salt - 3/4 tea spoon.
  • Black salt - 1/2 tea spoon.
  • Black pepper - less than 1/4 tea spoon.
  • Lemon - 1/2
  • Butter/ desi ghee - 1 table spoon.
  • Cream - 1 table spoon.
  • Coriander leaves - 1 table spoon (chopped)
Method:

  • Cut the spinach leaves, tomatoes and ginger into big pieces and put them inside the cooker or a Pan along with 1 cup of water to boil. Turn off the flame once the spinach becomes tender.
  • Make a smooth paste of boiled spinach using grinder.
  • Add more water around 3-5 cup water into the mixture and let it boil again.
  •  Mix salt, black salt and black pepper into the soup and cook the soup for 5-8 minutes.
  • Add butter or desi ghee, lemon juice into it and mix well.
  • Serve hot and garnishing with cream and coriander leaves.
