Peanut Sauce


Ingredients:
  • Roasted peanuts 1/2 cup
  • Ginger chopped 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh red chillies chopped 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  • Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar 1-1½ teaspoons
  • Salt to taste.
Method:
  • To prepare peanut sauce, grind peanuts to a coarse powder and put into a bowl.
  • Grind together ginger, garlic, fresh red chillies and coriander powder to a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add this paste and saute for 30 seconds. Add peanut powder, mix and cook for a minute.
  • Reduce heat, add soy sauce, sugar and salt, mix and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add some water, mix and cook on low heat for 1-2 minutes or till thick. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Server with snacks (best compliment with checken satay)
